Aluminium formwork is a modern construction system made from high-strength aluminum alloy extrusions. It is a modular, systematically designed framework used to form the cast-in-place concrete structure of a building.
The panels are securely held in position by a simple pin and wedge arrangement system, requiring no heavy external bracing. It is unique because it forms all the concrete elements in a building—including walls, floor slabs, columns, beams, stairs, and window hoods—in exact accordance with the architectural design. The machined metal components have very fine tolerances, which results in highly consistent concrete shapes floor after floor, allowing plumbing and electrical fittings to be prefabricated with perfect fitment.
Unlike traditional wood mold, the largest aluminum panel weighs no more than 22-25 kg, meaning it can be easily hand-carried and erected by a single worker without needing heavy cranes. It is fast, simple, adaptable, and highly cost-effective for modern construction.
